I'm pretty sure Lana will use the 6 iterations philosophy; it's the only feasible way Neo and Trinity will be resurrected, and offers some scope for potential reboots.

So I have come to realize that there is a bit of an ongoing debate as to whether or not the Matrix was reset at the end of Revolutions, or if it was simply rid of the Smith virus. Using the 6 iterations paradigm, that would suggest it was reset. I always considered the Matrix online to be the next version of the Matrix after it having been reset at the end of Revolutions, but I can also concede that a hard "reset" was never clearly defined. I've been working on video content about my most recent theory on this, but sooo many bad theories have been posted in internet articles that I have not felt any rush to finish it. Maybe next week I'll dive back into articulating the angle I believe the Matrix 4 is going to take. Kind of glad I waited now that I have seen some of the action scene shots. There isn't a lot to go on, but nothing I saw disproved anything I was thinking prior.
