It was just another day in the Matrix. Eric, former blossoming fist-fighter for Pluribus Neo, was standing on top of one of the many buildings in Chinatown, staring at the sky. For days like this, it was a time of reflection, of thinking back on all that he'd done.
It was a time for him to remember how he'd started so low in the Matrix, how the love and companionship of few and far-between friends kept him going when he wanted to give up. Most of all... it was a time to sit, and get wet.
The feeling was still as real as the day before he'd been brought out of the Matrix. He'd bounced back and forth, when he went in; first, he worked with Zion, and Pluribus Neo. When they cast him out, he recoiled, and instinctually went back to the Machines, before deciding to repent himself, and make up for the transgressions he'd committed - transgressions he knew he hadn't done, but had been forced, and brought on, by those within that didn't like him.
The first drop hit his face, when he looked up, and soon more began to follow. He reached up, and adjusted his hat down over his face, pushing the sunglasses over his eyes, and moved to sit on the edge of the building, bracing his hands on his lap.
