Designed by 01 to be the first step in better relations between the Machines and Zion, Agent Pace replaced Agent Skinner after his deletion and became the new machine liaison, along with Agent Gray.
She is the very first Agent conceived with a human-like personality, and noticeable physical differences with her kin - she is the first female Agent, and speaks with an Italian accent, opposed to the usual male Agent's American accent.
As a result of her programming, she is considerably more patient and understanding towards Redpills, and is more than happy to provide assistance and support to her operatives. She is, however, very modest about her skills, and will often imply that she lacks training, even if she is granted all the benefits of being an Agent - such as superhuman strength, speed, high-speed dodging and avatar shifting.
She enjoys training with small groups of operatives, and tries to learn the most she can about being human. She is even suspected to have a romantic interest for Zion operative Ghost, but whether this is simply mild fascination or actual attraction is unclear.
After a test conducted by the Merovingian and his wife, Persephone, Agent Pace was hit with a kill-code designed for the Oracle, and thanks to Agent Gray, she survived the attack. The repairs conducted on her, however, had some minor setbacks, as parts of her personality were apparently damaged in the process, giving her a colder, more Agent-like stance.
