There sure are a lot of articles about the shutdown of a game almost no one played.

ProSiebenSat Games is a German Publisher for SOE and Bigpoint Games.

For Example: FreeRealms and DC Universe Online European Localisations is handled by ProSiebenSat Games (which is also a TV Station Company here in Germany).

Just to note^^

I know exactly what it is.
It's terrible that they would fuck over (<half) their customers like that.

Less than 500? Seriously? I never knew that, and it seems almost impossible.

This is all just my opinion. However, where SOE dropped the ball was in never delivering NEW content. IE the new districts that were done conceptually but never implemented, personal constructs (housing/guild housing), etc. Because of this, people lost interest in the "same old, same old". Granted Monolith released the game before it was even finished anyways.
