Then in Hardball, he played a practically emotionless gambler who coached a little league team. Not sure if anyone ever read the Wachowski bluepill script of Thomas Anderson's childhood that I just made up, but it's a wild coincidence.
And no one has yet to mention his role in Constantine....
His character in both films.. are dark and complicating in nature, they both have a struggle between good and evil, they both present 2 different worlds, Mr. Reeves even travels between them. Both films have distinct religious connotations and the concept of "belief" becomes crucial in each movies development. And the end of each film he becomes a savior for others and/or himself.
