"Music not initialized" error [SOLVED]

This applies to ASUS XONAR sound cards but you can check what ever flavor you are running IF you are getting "Music not Initialized" message on launch of MxO Emu.

The ASUS XONAR control panel has a "GX" setting. This is ASUS'S version of EAX and can cause some serious issues with games that run EAX and, according to da net, everything else.

Just disable it and everything works as it should. I haven't noticed any difference in anything else, including Deus Ex.

I have a Xonar DS and Xonar DSX in my new build. Outstanding cards and this is the first issue I have run into.

Yep, i have a xonar DG and if i enable GX, any game that runs will have sound problems, and then when it exits, it will leave an annoying looping sample going, which you can never stop, and any other thing you try to run will fail

GX is a total hack and you should never have it on (it messes with dsound.dll and such)
