Obsolete guide to install an old version of local server

the zip does not need to be installed. it can run straight out of the folder after you drag and drop it from the .7z file mate

i put the client.dll into my matrixonline.zip folder but it says something about the specified module could not be found
when i clicked it

your doing it backwards you cannot put things into the zip and run it from there. you want to make a regular folder and drop and drag everything from the .7z into the regular folder.

im installing appserve and it is asking for a server name and an email what do i do?

As you are installing it to run just on the local machine, it seems like you can name it whatever you want. I named mine local. Same is true for the email - I put admin@local.com.

Seemed to work okay.

when it finishes loading it says something about failed to reconnect to margin server shutting down what does that mean? please help

Possibly that the database isn't set up in appserver.

Were you able to connect to it with internet explorer and create the "reality" server?

Do you have a firewall up? If so you may need to disable it. And what version of Windows are you running?

i got it working
