			<description><![CDATA[Figured while we are here waiting for our glorious Overlord to bless us with an update.  Might as well chit chat about what you'd change to try and make it better.  It clearly wasn't the perfect game.<br />

For me personally, Coder needed to have more and more interesting debuffs to give enemies.  Keep us busier than just periodically buffing our Simu, and spamming the one or two attacks we get (If I remember correctly).<br />

Secondly, and far more important.  I liked where the melee combat was going, I think it was a cool idea.  The problem is that I think they split off and had the progression mess it up.  People ended up specializing in power, speed, or grapple.<br />
<br />
What I'd do is make it so all 3 are equal, but just rock paper scissors (Which I'm sure that is what they initially thought of doing).  Speed beats power, power beats grapple, grapple beats speed.  But not outright, its not a win or lose, just an advantage in combat.  It could still get dodged, blocked, reversed, whatever.<br />
<br />
Than add a bunch of moves that work best under specific stances, but not required.<br />
<br />
As for progression, a couple ideas for the two sub-classes for Operator.  <br />
<br />
One could be an outright street fighter, always going for a straight up beatedown.   Which helps reduce the impact of the RPS aspect, and dishes out constant big numbers.<br />
<br />
The other could be a martial artist.  Someone who waits for the openings.  Making it so they are the opposite of the fighter, they excel at the RPS aspect, so when they win, their advantage is much bigger.  But when they lose its also a much bigger loss.  A counter specialist, throw in some debuffs, and you have some burst damage.]]></description>

   I went in fully expecting MxO to be deemed non-canon, and while it doesn't actually say whether it is or not, the 60 years between Revolutions and Resurrections gives it some "wiggle room."<br />
<br />
   The biggest problem I could see is what happened to the real Morpheus after Revolutions.  But that could potentially be explained thanks to the (in-universe) rumors that Morpheus faked his death and went into hiding.  He could have come back at some point after the end of MxO.<br />
<br />
   Surprisingly, there are a few things in the movie that resonate fairly well with MxO.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[I was wondering if there are any games out there that have a similar vibe or atmosphere to MxO. I loved exploring MegaCity in MxO - I liked how each district in the city had its own history and purpose, and how there was this mild ominous feeling that followed you around everywhere, as though something wasn't quite right. There was a lot of urban decay, and mysterious abandoned buildings and empty lots that made your imagination run wild with thoughts of midnight meetings between shadowy factions vying for control of the dying city. <br />
<br />
It was a really interesting vibe that might have been unique to MxO. Even the other Matrix video games like Enter the Matrix and Path of Neo couldn't quite replicate it.<br />
<br />
The games I've played that have gotten 'closest' to MxO's atmosphere are still extremely different from MxO, but ever so slightly closer than most other games. Most recently Cyberpunk 2077 has given me some MxO vibes, thanks to all the industrial locations and city districts that have fallen into absolute gang-controlled chaos, kind of like parts of Westview in MxO. I also enjoyed Mirror's Edge and Mirror's Edge Catalyst, which were a lot cleaner and brighter than MxO but still had some similar themes, including an oblivious population that had yet to 'wake up' to the truth and some really cool off-limits abandoned areas and industrial plants.<br />
<br />
I guess, in a nutshell, I'm looking for games with modern day (or slightly futuristic) urban settings and a lot of abandoned or decaying buildings. Bonus points if the game's world is home to hackers, conspiracies, and interesting gangs with vaguely supernatural gimmicks.]]></description>
