Sooooo... been awhile eh?

Enjoying life, still making games, having fun.... still an A1 Asshole.

However it seems I got this itch I can't scratch.. won't stop...

Burning in my mind...

Hey, Yeah I see this didn't get to far.

Now here is the part where you assume I am here to bash your project.
Tis a misconception.

I'm here to offer a truce.

I mean me VS everyone lol....

The talented people that have helped with this project have taken on a task that could only be accomplished by serious group crazy pros. Not just a few.

This being said.

Now that I am retired and living large, I propose to do something that might seem impossible... but I assure you it's not.

1) I have a raw kickass never been used engine. That could use most of the assets from MXO and sounds etc etc, I have advanced A.I systems etc etc...
2) You have the same love for the Matrix as I do.
3) I am sure with some help, I could rebuild the Matrix.
Not only could we rebuild it, but we could upgrade it.
And improve it. ALOT.
4) If we don't do it, nobody will. It's become painfully obvious. Not because anyone's lack skill. Not because of a lack of skills. But because of a lack of large variety of skill sets needed to accomplish such a feat as this.

I only offer this because of what MXO means to me... and to see MXO do something.

Here is my latest hobby project. (I'm retired I gotta do something to keep myself occupied)

You'll notice I been playing with the sound files and recycling good material. Saves me time and I get to hear some familiar sounds lol...

Here is a link to a demo of our engine.

If you don't remember me I guess I just wasn't charming enough.

Keep the following in mind.

-Engine can handle huge complex maps.
This means that we could make the tunnel systems, Zion, Surfice, Machine City. And not just the Matrix. We could begin from the start even tap into the Animatrix shorts.

This includes APC units, Hover crafts, cars, robots, sentinels whatever even the big boys and the farm towers....

I won't try and do it alone.
But if a few people wanna help with some C++ and some SDK packs and some 3d modelers wanna help out, We can do the rest, without issue. We have most of it done already as a matter of fact. And stabilized the engine.

IF we could get 6 people to help with development. And 30 dedicated testers we could have it done in under a year.
Take me serious or don't.

But at least consider it... what do you have to lose?

new to mxo emu - some questions

First of all - i missed out on MxO when it was out, i wasnt into subbing MMO's yet and then it was gone and never got the chance... I have always wished i could have got a taste of MxO and with this it seems i can! I do however, have a big important question... is this legal? I mean, even though its shut down - SOE owns this game so can it be rebooted by just anybody? I hope we can all enjoy some version of this game even though i know it wont be exactly like the original.
Also, what is the difference with the EMU here and the Hardline Dreams project? 2 Different emulators or what? Thanks guys

my responce to that is do same then when you got codes patching blah blah from sony if it works stop communicating with sony and make MxO again with codes you got

i don't know much about programing and as i know the idea is to make a emu of MXO. but i was thinking is it going to be that new content (e.g missions, skills and areas) could be added or is that not possible?

Dear mxoemu members,

I wanna express some things now, that we are almost at end or at end already of the year 2009.

I expressed my intentions to release the new server on Dic 09 but after some local test, i found that even if it's ready to be launched as a new world thing, there are some errors/bugs/glitches that i dont want to have in a release, or at least known issues.

First important one is that we bypassed the margin process, so the other users start with a non resizeable and non emote button chat window. This should be fixed with some tweaks and finding what makes it that way. It's so annoying for the people that connect "to you" because the local player will have both (because the fast communication with the server, for sure.)

Other important thing is dealing with the reconnection issues that make the server output things and trigger handled but annoying errors (while sending to the old reference from the disconnected player).

Minor things are included, and i wanna fix it.

On the other hand, i remade the inner part of the server, so we can have a faster and cleaner development now, which took some time.

So to resume, the release will be analyzed in its current state and with some luck, will be launched in the first days within january (2k10).

For now, i am going into 2k10 with some real happiness and faith . So i am going to meet with my girldfriend and family.

sorry i didnt know where else to put this but im a total noob.
Ive read in the FAQ that the client only allows you to run around the map? is that true, because Im really interested in playing this game offline or online.

I just got matrix the path of neo game and halfway through it I remembered that there was a matrix MMO i wanted to play long ago but my computer was a crap sempron or duron (dont remember) back then. I googled and found that it was shutdown which eventually led me here.

I havent played any MMORPG for more than 5 years so I have no idea.
Any information about how this game is doing would be great.

Ok...im new at this game emu, i need help setting up the game to play on the server, though swgemu was alot easier. i downloaded the client and when i launch the game i get a download patch error. What tools or so do i need to play this.
