Recursion: The ability of a program to call itself which also enables a program to define itself in terms of itself. This is frequently used to control the programs execution.

I'd call that even.



That aside, my vote for the server name is: Version 7
As in the 7th iteration of the Matrix. There is some debate though. At the end of "Revolutions" some think that the Matrix was rebooted, thus starting a new iteration (which would mean MxO took place in Version 7), however I'm not sure I agree. Just because the world went back together after Neo beat Smith doesn't mean the Matrix was rebooted.

Afterall, a computer program can be closed and reopened without rebooting the entire computer/operating system. AKA, I don't think the Matrix is the Operating System itself, and therefore not in need of reboot. Nothing was changed (aka no new Neo was created, no new anomaly), so all they had to do was restore the previous state, not reboot it from scratch.

ANYWAY - MxO going down = the end of one version IMO, and MxO Emu starting up begins The Matrix: Version 7.

Took the words right out of my mouth! lol Version 7 sounds alot cooler and more intune with the Matrix (dare i say it?) storyline. I think the rp would be real interesting with that sort of situation.

Version 7, would make the most logical name. Because indeed after the movies, the system was rebooted, not destroyed. Mxo online was Movie 4 where you could see all the redpills being freed in The Matrix saga.
The ending from MxO was the real fear the main characters in the movies where talking about in the matrix, ( and in the Real world) And this ending was serious, Everything died. including blue pills, everything. So i go for Version 7. Or just name it "7" As a symbolic number. Just my 2 cents opinion in a topic way in the past lol.

( But good read so far on all i have mist here and reading the development stage of the "main" mxo emu and local client mxo's worlds. Good stuff)

This was a good necro Cycles, I had missed the discussion earlier but conceptually I do like the V7 idea, it definitely gives food for thought.
