Matrix reference in class
So I'm taking an Animal Behavior class at my local University, and my professor said this today: "Are you here now? No, you're not. Oh you think you are? Then prove it!" *student submits proof of presence in reference of sensory perception* "That doesn't mean anything. The world you know is only the world that you perceive. You see what your eyes perceive, hear what your ears perceive, etc., etc. You cannot prove that you're sitting in that desk. You can't prove that I'm standing here lecturing you. We live in the world of the Matrix: a product of our own sensory perception data."
My jaw hit the floor in the biggest gape smile I've had in a long time.
