I'm still of the mind that there should be no RSI's in the pic, but until I get off my ass and throw my hat into the ring, I will stay quiet-ish. Kind of.
Just curious: Why the aversion to using main characters?

I'm fine with whatever, really. I'm just happy to contribute something to the community. But I think the most recognizable faces would be better suited for a splash page.
whoosh animations swapping them out at timer intervals must happen !

.....

For me this one is hard to explain. I guess the closest I can come is its kinda like "false advertising". Players cannot be Morpheus or the Merv. Why show the RSI? If we just want to show movie characters, why not use actual pictures of them. I know, I know the models do exist in the game and it shows that they available....but still.

I dunno...maybe showing what people can be is cooler?

Meh, bad explanation....have to rethink this...

Also, Morph is DEAD.

Besides that, it's not like there's an LET (yet). We probably won't even SEE those characters jacked in for a while.

This is a game for the PLAYERS, so RSI's that look like players should be used.
Until the RSI thing gets worked out (I have no high-rez screenshots of mobs) I just removed Morpheus entirely. I tried to create a button in Inkscape, but I found it much easier to accomplish the same look in Photoshop.

Don't stop, TheKid. Keep trying.

Manic, I know everyone is all about adding characters to the splash page, but that is so damn clean. I think you should keep RSI's off of it. That's just me, though.
