Hey guys! I'm new, I have done all the steps as you suggested, but I keep getting an error when I star the matrix2.exe

"Error. Could not initialize internet connection. You must be connected to the internet to play. The application will now close."

And I also get this error:

"Failed to create a copy of the launcher or a critical support library for patching. If you have a file called Matrix.exe in your game directory, please make sure it is writable."

I am connected to the internet, what's the problem?

I am sorry for my ignorance in this matter, can anyone help me plz?

The test server is currently closed.
Get the source, compile, and run your own.

You do not need phpMyAdmin to setup the database.
