check this out (may wanna put it in the guide)

http://www.appservnetwork.com/modules.ph...page&pid=8
you gotta put localhost as server

Or maybe not.

I'm stuck too i can't get the localhost thing on IE to work....
It just says cannot display webpage.

The server name needs to be reality.

As for IE, just open up this thread in IE and click on this link >>> Click me

Once again user name is root, and password should be the password that you chose when you installed appserv.

Didnt work. Still says it cant display the page. Im assuming its a problem with how i installed appserv.

Yea, you may have to reinstall Appserv.
why are you even bothering with appserv ?
you can do all this with just mysql community edition + mysql gui tools (all free from mysql.com)
you dont need a web server at all

Ok, I reinstalled it. It still says cant display but at the top it says something about intranet settings but it goes away before i can click it or read all of it.
Have you tried opening the page on Firefox?

Ok, I tried installing the community thing and it starts to configure and says cannot create windows service for MySQL Error:0

Wait, its not the actual install I did that. Its the server instance configuration wizard. Do I need that?

And I did try to open http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/ in firefox. nada.

Hmm...that's strange. Are you running any Anti-virus or firewalls?
no phpmyadmin if you only install mysql community
thats what the gui tools are for
uninstall everything, make sure theres no mysql service in (start -> run -> services.msc)
then try to reinstall community (yes you do need to configure a server instance, hurrr)

Ok, here's what I did with the gui tools and at the bottom is what happened when I started realitymood.
